The MAGA token dropped by 10%, while the TREMP token plummeted by 27.5%, reflecting investor disappointment in Trump’s performance. In stark contrast, Harris's meme token, KAMA, experienced a modest rise of 7.5%, indicating a shift in market sentiment towards her candidacy.

The debate, held on September 10, 2024, showcased both candidates discussing key issues such as the economy and immigration, but notably excluded any mention of cryptocurrencies, despite their growing relevance in political discourse.

Analysts observed that Trump's demeanor during the debate appeared less energetic, which may have contributed to the negative reaction in the crypto market. Adam Cochran, a partner at CHEV, noted that Trump seemed fatigued and on the defensive, contrasting sharply with Harris's composed and confident presence.

This volatility in meme tokens underscores the increasing intersection between political events and cryptocurrency markets.

As the election approaches, traders are closely monitoring these developments, with recent polls showing both candidates nearly tied in voter support. The fluctuations in meme token values serve as a barometer for public sentiment and the evolving political landscape as the race for the presidency intensifies.
