EtherFi Launches EIGEN Staking with Innovative Rewards

EtherFi has officially launched its EIGEN staking program, allowing users to earn rewards through a new liquid restaked token, eETH. This innovative approach enables stakers to receive a share of the overall rewards in the form of LRT2 tokens, enhancing the staking experience on the EigenLayer platform.

The EIGEN staking program will distribute rewards with 75% allocated to ETH stakers and 25% to EIGEN stakers, with a maximum annual reward capped at 1% of the initial token supply. This structure is designed to incentivize participation and further integrate users into the Ethereum ecosystem.

In addition to traditional staking rewards, users will also benefit from additional incentives, including drops from Actively Validated Services (AVS). These rewards aim to enhance user engagement and provide further opportunities for earning within the EtherFi ecosystem.

Mike Silagadze, CEO of EtherFi, emphasized that eETH represents a significant advancement in liquid staking by allowing users to maintain control over their keys, unlike other liquid staking tokens where node operators hold custody. This feature reduces reliance on third parties and minimizes risks associated with slashing events.

As EtherFi continues to expand its offerings, it is also integrating with various DeFi protocols, providing users with liquidity and flexibility while maximizing their staking potential. The mainnet launch for eETH is scheduled for November 6, promising an exciting addition to the Ethereum staking landscape.
