MicroStrategy has added former Binance US CEO Brian Brooks to its board. Along with Brooks, Jane Dietze and Gregg Winiarski also joined. These appointments follow MicroStrategy’s inclusion in the Nasdaq 100 Index.
New Leadership for MicroStrategy
Brian Brooks brings a wealth of experience to MicroStrategy’s board. He previously served as acting Comptroller of the Currency. In this role, Brooks oversaw the U.S. banking system and built strong connections in finance.
His background adds significant value to MicroStrategy, and many are excited about his appointment. Swan Bitcoin called this move a “BIG deal,” highlighting his influence in the financial world.
Along with Brooks, Jane Dietze and Gregg Winiarski are joining the team. Dietze also serves on the board of Galaxy Digital, and Winiarski is the chief legal officer at Fanatics Holdings.
Together, these leaders bring expertise in finance, business, and law. All three executives are eligible for equity awards, tying their success to MicroStrategy’s future.
Brooks made headlines in 2021 after resigning from Binance.US. He left the role after just four months, citing differences over strategy. Recently, he’s been mentioned as a possible candidate to replace Gary Gensler as SEC Chair.
MicroStrategy Joins Nasdaq 100
The announcement of Brooks joining the board comes right after a significant milestone for MicroStrategy. On December 13, Nasdaq confirmed that MicroStrategy would be added to the Nasdaq 100 Index on December 23.
This index features the top-performing U.S. companies. Joining it places MicroStrategy among the leaders in the market.With these changes, MicroStrategy is positioning itself for even greater influence in both technology and finance.
