Binance Aids Storm Boris Survivors with $1.5M BNB Airdrop

Storm Boris has caused severe damage in Central Europe. Communities are struggling to recover from the flooding. 

Homes have been destroyed, and families are displaced in several countries. In response to this disaster, Binance Charity is airdropping up to $1,500,000 in BNB to Binance users impacted by the storm. 

To identify eligible users, Binance Charity will rely on Proof of Address (POA). Users must complete their POA by September 18, 2024. 

Verified individuals will receive $50 in BNB directly in their Binance accounts. This funding is designed to help users rebuild and recover from their losses.

A Boost for Late Submissions

Binance understands that some users may not complete their POA on time. To address this, they have created an additional support plan. 

According to the post below, existing users who finish their POA after the deadline will receive $25 in BNB. This offer is valid from September 19, 2024, to October 11, 2024. 

The first batch of funds will start reaching users on October 1, 2024. This approach ensures that as many affected individuals as possible receive assistance.

Community Commitment

Kyrylo Khomyakov, Binance's General Manager for Central and Eastern Europe, has commented on the disaster. He noted that the impact of flooding in Poland, Czech Republic, and Romania has been devastating. 

Beyond the airdrop, Binance plans to look for more ways to support those impacted. The company recognizes that continued support and engagement will be crucial for rebuilding lives after the flooding.
