Donald Trump announced a new decentralized finance (DeFi) project called "The DeFiant Ones" on Truth Social. This initiative financial systems and empower everyday Americans. 

The announcement caused a stir, with the MAGA meme coin surging 21% in value within 24 hours. However, this meme coin does not have any official ties with the former US President.

The DeFiant Ones: A New Era in Finance

Trump's new project is designed to disrupt the financial status quo. "For too long, the average American has been squeezed by big banks and financial elites," Trump stated. 

He believes this new venture will give power back to the people. The project’s official Telegram channel has already amassed over 34,000 subscribers, eager for updates and news.

Eric Trump hinted at the concept of "digital real estate," suggesting the project might involve selling digitized assets in the metaverse or tokenizing real-world assets. This speculation has fueled discussions about the project's potential impact on the financial landscape.

Trump's Evolving Stance on Crypto

This announcement marks a significant shift in Trump's attitude towards cryptocurrency. During his presidency, he was openly critical of digital currencies, even calling Bitcoin a scam. 

However, his recent actions show a more favorable stance. Last month, Trump spoke at the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, where he promised to fire Gary Gensler if he wins the election. 

He also raised a massive $25 million through the conference. With his sons at the helm, "The DeFiant Ones" promises to be a game-changer in the world of finance.
